Choosing Books

Sorry. Those few days unfortunately expanded into a few weeks; however, here i am again, at least for a few days... I will be disappearing again, at the beginning of April, for 16/17 days. This time for a 260 km walk...

In the meantime, I thought I'd ask you why you read certain books and not others. For some people, it is the author's name, for others it is the title or the cover of the book. I recently read "A Handful of Dust" by Evelyn Waugh. The cover was distinctly plain, but I did know of the author. I think that the thing that really grabbed my attention was the name of the book because I love T S Eliot's poetry. I was not disappointed; the book was fantastic.

Anyway, if you have a moment, let me know what makes you choose those books you read and whether or not you are always satisfied with your choice.
